Red Z'Epfig is a unique co-fermentation of equal parts Pinot Noir and Auxerrois from 30-year-old vines planted on clay and limestone soils in Epfig. Fermented as whole bunches before spending nine months in barrel, it is wonderfully light and expressive with notes of blood orange, spice and vibrant red fruit.
After discovering a passion for wine in the Loire Valley, Lambert Spielmann returned to his native Alsace to establish his own estate. Farming by hand using biodynamic principles, he produces unfiltered wines with no additions, creating pure, characterful expressions that have become some of Alsace's most exciting natural wines.
