Cluricaun Skin is a characterful skin-contact wine with a pale amber colour and a lovely balance of freshness and texture. Orange peel and quince flavours mingle with subtle nutty notes and a touch of white pepper, while gentle tannins give the wine extra structure.

Made from two Portuguese grape varieties, Síria and Fernão Pires, the wine spends around 60 days macerating on the skins. The Fernão Pires ferments in pine-resin-lined clay amphorae, while the Síria is fermented separately before its skins are added to the amphorae. After fermentation, the wines are blended and matured in stainless steel. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, with minimal sulphite additions. 

The grapes are organically grown across two Portuguese regions, with the winemaking carried out at Quinta do Montalto. It’s a distinctive bottle for anyone who enjoys orange wines with freshness, savoury complexity and a little grip.
